Instructions for obtaining 'VIRTUAL' COLOR SWATCHES
If you are very comfortable with computer functions,
You can move very quickly thru these instructions simply by navigating the

Hardware Requirements
Adobe Acrobat Reader' must be installed on your computer to be able to use the sample swatch program. Most computers come with this program installed, or you can download it from www.adobe.com/acrobat
View Color Swatches
- Click here to download the 560 Virtual Color Swatch Samples pdf. file
- View samples individually, or collectively on related color palettes by clicking on the 'Thumbnails' folder (on the left). Thumbnails view is good for jumping to a section of preferred colors quickly without having to page thru them all.
Make a File to Compile
Create a word file that will stay open with the pdf. file to hold all your chosen color schemes
- While you have the Swatch Samples screen still OPEN, simply click on your main
icon along your toolbar.
- Scroll down and create/open any type of new Word-Processing document. (For example: Microsoft Word)
- Once Open:
- Create 'working space' in your document (press the ENTER key about 20 times)
- Select all the newly created space (simultaneously press [Shift + Ctrl + Home])
- Increase Indentation of this space to (Toolbar: Format - Paragraph - Indents & Spacing: increase to 3" - OK )
- Switch back over (Alt + Tab) to the Swatch Samples screen, and select your swatch as follows...
Select Swatches
- Click on the '(Graphics) Snapshot Tool button on the toolbar
and your pointer will turn into the crosshairs.
- Position the selector at any corner of a color swatch, and drag it by holding down the LEFT- clicker on your mouse, as you pull the outline box out to select and encompass the entire swatch color. "Item copied to clipboard"
NOTE: YOU MUST include the name of the swatch in your selected area, so it will copy onto your document (for reference later.)
OPTIONAL: Print Full-Size Swatch
- RIGHT-Click, over previously selected area, and choose 'Print.' For Higher quality, click on
Properties Button,
and set your printer to the Best, Color Printing Quality.
- Print swatch by clicking OK

Paste Swatch into New Doc.
- Switch back over (Alt + Tab) to the Word-Processing document and click (Paste) into word doc.
- Arrow over to the beginning of the 'indented space', and type the specific swatch information to the right of each swatch.
- Name the file (Save-As) so it corresponds with each photograph.
Color, Location, and Finish
Label Legend
- Choice of (1) Basecoat Body color (for the majority of the walls)
- Choice of (1) Basecoat Trim color (for the baseboards, window and door trim)
- Choice of (1) Basecoat Accent color (for the miscellaneous items such as the ceilings, doors, a particular wall,
furniture, accessories, or just to split-up trim items that you may want separated out.)
- Specialty Finishes can also be applied to any/all (Body/Trim/Accent) items above. If a special
finish is desired for any item, you must also select and provide a Topcoat Color for each item.
